Founded in 1892 by Emanuel Ciner, the company initially produced only high-quality jewelry. But in 1931, after deciding to expand production, it also turned its attention to costume jewelry, and from 1932 began its production with great attention to the refinement of its pieces. In the creation of bijoux, Ciner’s artisans skillfully combined precious stones and more affordable materials: natural pearls, gold plating, rhinestones, crafting each piece by hand.
The earlier costume jewelry was not usually signed, but after 1945, the company began to use the CINER trademark.
