Rare lacquered and painted wood "doppio corpo" in pale blue and white, Venice, 18th century

mixtilinear front and gilded mouldings. The upper section features a central door finely painted with a landscape of ruins and figures, surmounted by a broken pediment crest; the curved sides are adorned with two leafy and floral garlands. The lower section, echoing the same design, has a central door decorated with an elegant floral motif framed by rocaille ornamentation, flanked by two leafy compositions that mirror those of the upper panels. Shaped bracket feet, 280×180×40 cm. approximately.
