Gilt and patinated bronze mantle clock, France, late 19th century

The case features a small peasant leaning against a horse, both fully sculpted, moving over a ground with a wicker basket and small plants. The group rises above the circular white enamel dial with two winding holes and black Roman numerals. The base is adorned with farming tools among scrolls and flowers, 37x41x13 cm. (The winding key is missing; mechanism not in working order.)
