Two-part cabinet veneered in rosewood, England, 19th century

the lower section with fall-front, partly plated in tortoiseshell and finely inlaid partly in mother-of-pearl and silvered sheet depicting a triumphal chariot drawn by four pairs of caparisoned horses; on each side a marquetry figure respectively of a trumpeter and a male figure holding a banner marked with three fleurs-de-lis; the frieze above bearing a laurel-garland motif. The upper open section with architectural front, 190 x 127 x 41 cm (minor defects)
